Values

Spirit Led

Led by the Holy Spirit we develop genuine relationships and share the gospel in a way that reaches the heart of people.

* We believe that the most effective evangelism happens through people sharing with people. Evangelism grows to be a normal, natural lifestyle of winning others to Christ, one by one. (Proverbs 11:30; John 1:43-45; John 4:28-30)

* We are committed to connecting everything to a soul.

* Through prayer and fasting we believe that God transforms lives!

* We are a people committed to being transformed into the image of Christ through God’s Word and spirit on a daily basis. We have an undying devotion to the Word of God.

* In order to reach the people that no-one else is reaching, we need to do the things that no-one else is doing. (1Corinthians 9:22, 23; Acts 17:22-34)

Love & Generosity

We are a people who joyfully and generously share our whole lives with others.

* We love our city, nation and world intentionally and will do anything short of sin to reach people for Christ. (Acts 4:32 -37; Hebrews 13:5; James 4:13-17)

* We foster the spirit of family ‘O’hana’ at CCCLiVE.TV and believe that genuine love and caring relationships are key to every endeavour. We believe that it takes a village to raise a child. (James 1:2, 3; 1 Peter 3:8, 9; 1 Corinthians 13:8; Romans 16:17; Ephesians 4:3)

* We respect and acknowledge God in each other and we allow His spirit of love to permeate our family. We have a gracious spirit in all of our dealings.

* We are an inclusive community that welcomes people from all walks of life to start and continue a spiritual journey. (Acts 11:1-18)

* We are advocates for those who do not have a voice in our community and beyond. We are committed to ‘lifting the heads’ of those who are downtrodden by life. (John 8:1-11)

* Extravagant generosity should mark the life of a fully committed follower of Christ. We will be known for generosity in all areas of our life. Fully devoted followers see themselves as stewards before God of all the resources they have and for this reason they are willing to share generously. This includes their time, talents, material possessions and finances. (Acts 4:32 -37; Hebrews 13:5; James 4:13-17)

Fun & Wow

We are a people who always bring our best to God and others and love to laugh along the way.

* Job 8:21 “He will fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy”

* Psalm 126:2 “Our mouths will fill with laughter and our tongues with songs of joy, then it was said among the nations, the Lord has done great things for them.”

* God is worthy of our very best. Therefore, a growing spirit of excellence should permeate every activity. Not perfection but excellence with consistent evaluation and a willingness to improve for the sake of the Kingdom of God.  (Malachi 3, Psalm 78:72; Colossians 3:17)

* We are committed to redeeming the arts and technology for Kingdom purposes.

Learn & Grow

We are a people who are committed to a lifestyle of consistent spiritual growth and honest accountability in community.

* At CCCLiVE.TV everyone is welcome, everyone is needed and we encourage everyone to be changed. It's a 'come as you are' but don't 'stay as you are' culture. (Ecc 10:10)

* It is impossible to be spiritually mature while remaining emotionally immature. Loving God and people are inseparable requiring emotional health and contemplative spirituality. (Ps 37:7, Matt 22:37-39)

* Developing emerging leaders is part of what we do through our New Hope Leadership Institute. It exists to disciple emerging Christian leaders by developing their theology, ministry skills, and character. (2 Tim 2:2; 1 Tim 3:1; Titus 1:5-9; Ps 78:6, 7)

* A genuine love for God is always the first priority. Every Christian should yearn for continual spiritual growth through prayer and discipleship. Cultivating a prayerful lifestyle and discipleship through life groups, accountability, and open honesty is critical to maturing in our faith. (1 Thess 5:16-18; Mark 12:29-31; Acts 2:44-47; 1 Peter 2:2; 1Tim 4:7, 8; Prov 27:17)

* We encourage Biblical confrontation. We challenge ourselves and each other to align our life with the Scriptures through accountability in small groups. (Matt 18, Acts 5:1-11)

Live & Serve Together

We are a people who are called to be sacrificial contributors not just consumers. We know that we can accomplish far more together than apart.

* We are a servant hearted, volunteer driven church. Each believer will find their greatest joy and fulfillment when serving in their spiritual gifts and passion. (Mark 10:45; Eph 2:10; Romans 12; 1 Cor 12:14-20)

* We are Kingdom-minded and will lock arms with other parts of the Body of Christ for Kingdom purposes. (John 17:20-26, Matt 16:18, Luke 15)

* We Believe that "doing church as a team" is God's design for effective ministry. Every person has a role to play in the body of Christ. (Ecc 4:9-12; Ps 133:1; Eph 4:11-16; 1 Peter 2:4-9)

Honour & Respect

We are a people who believe that honour and respect are values to live by!

* We encourage children to honour their parents.

* We honour those older than us and value the old traditions of standing up to allow an older person to sit when there are no seats left. (Leviticus 19:32)

* Men in our community honour and respect women and treat them with dignity and love, just as Christ loves his Church. (1 Peter 3:7 NASB)

* We respect those in authority in our community and government. (Romans 13:1-2)

* We value leaders and show them honour and respect in response to the way that they serve us with their leadership. (1 Peter 2:17)

Courage & Conviction

We are a people who show courage and conviction in the face of challenges.

* We show patience and persistence in the face of persecution and suffering. (2 Tim 1:7)

* We take a stand for what we know is right according to the Word of God and we’re not afraid to challenge ourselves and each other to live a life that is Biblically anchored.

* We show conviction in the face of temptation and are not ‘fence sitters’.

Counter-culture

We are a people who seek to walk in holiness and stand against what is culturally popular when it is not doctrinally pure.

* We are not easily swayed by the standards of this world and are called to holiness. We have values and lead lifestyles that are opposed to those of the established culture.

* We conduct ourselves in the world, and especially in our relationships with a holiness and sincerity from God by His grace. (2 Cor 1:12)

* We stand for moral purity, financial freedom and relational integrity.
